In this work, Chairman Mao gives an overview of the Communist method of leadership: combining general calls with particular guidance and combining leadership with the masses. He outlines the leadership principle of “from the masses, to the masses,” and explains how to identify and unite with advanced elements of the masses in order to bring up the political level of the intermediate and win over the backwards. These are essential organizational concepts necessary for revolutionaries to study and apply.
