Presented here is the famous “Speech from the Cage” given by Chairman Gonzalo on September 24th, 1992. After his capture, the reactionaries of the old Peruvian state, in their attempt to land a psychological blow to the Communist Party of Peru and the People’s War, attempted to humiliate him by parading him before the world dressed in prison garb and placing him in a cage in a televised event. Instead, Chairman Gonzalo used this opportunity to address the international proletariat and people of the whole world, turning his cage into the highest Shining Trench of Combat and landing a blow to the old Peruvian state, defeating their black dreams of inflicting psychological and moral defeat on the Party and the People’s War. Contained within the speech are powerful directives that communists of the whole world must closely study.
